1) The NLRMTA brochure contains information for both teachers and students. This includes: a listing of all members and their contact information; the executive; our sponsors; benefits of membership; an application form; and also detailed information for parents and students to aid them in finding a teacher, such as benefits of study with a registered music teacher, and how to choose the right teacher. (This information can also be found on this website.)
The brochure is published annually in the summer, and distributed to music stores and members.
2) The Canadian Music Teacher (Le Professeur de Musique Canadien) is the official journal of our parent organization, the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Associations. Information on conventions, Canada Music Week activities across the country, interviews (e.g. with Newfoundland's Averill Baker in the Winter edition, 2005), book reviews, articles, and music advertisements are included in these issues.
With a current circulation of 3400 (Dec. 2004), this journal is published three times a year and is sent automatically to all members in each provincial teachers' association.
